Eligibility Criteria for BotsREN Membership

BotsREN membership is open to institutions across various sectors in Botswana that contribute to or benefit from research and education. Eligible institutions include:

  1. Tertiary Institutions
  2. Research Institutes
  3. Innovation Hubs
  4. Technical and Vocational Institutions
  5. Primary and Secondary Schools
  6. Major Public Libraries and Archival Institutions
  7. Post-Secondary Management and Business Training Institutions

Additional Criteria

To qualify, institutions should meet the following requirements:

  • Have a legitimate interest in accessing BotsREN’s networking and IT services.
  • Be capable of contributing to and benefiting from the BotsREN community.
  • Provide accurate institutional information, including demographic and network infrastructure details, to aid in membership screening.
  • Commit to adhering to BotsREN policies and service agreements.

Exclusions

BotsREN does not provide membership to:

  • Individuals or commercial entities that do not align with its mission to support education and research.
  • Organizations outside of Botswana unless they are directly affiliated with eligible institutions
