BotsREN is a Membership-based organizations dedicated to supporting research, innovation and education nationally and internationally through high-capacity connectivity and other value-added services. BotsREN is a flagship intiative of Botswana’s digital transformation strategy, SmartBots.

MOTE provided seed funding for initial setup of the network and connecting the first eight (8) anchor institutions (BIUST, UB, BUAN, BOU, BAC, NARDI, BITRI, BDIH) with 1Gbps

BotsREN Appoints Managing Director

Nov 2023

In November 2023, Exco appointed Managing Director to lead Network rollout and strategy execution
